I love making coffee mugs. While they are fussy to make, they often get used daily. What a nice way to add something handmade into your daily routine! I always thought that a mug was the next closest thing to shaking hands with the potter. The shape of this particular mug feels great in the hand and holds approximately 14oz.

This Mug was thrown on the wheel with stoneware. After the piece dried a little I trimmed it to remove excess clay and also attached the handle. To finish the piece, I apply my glazes typically using multiple overlapping colors to create a unique look. I then fired the piece to cone 6 (about 2230°) which, along with the clay I use makes it very durable.

➤ As with all my functional pottery, items are food,microwave, and dishwasher safe.

➤ The Coffee Mug measures approximately 4" tall and 3 1/2” wide.

➤ The bottoms of each piece are sanded to a nice smooth finish
